Thank you for your interest in the Saratoga Mentoring Program. Now that you have interviewed with us there are a few more steps to becoming a mentor. While we process your paperwork you will need to complete the following trainings:

1. Building Foundations

   This is a helpful training on the basics of mentoring. You will be sent a link to this training via email. This is a lengthy training (over 2 hours) and you can complete this training all at once or at your own pace. It does need to be completed before you are matched.

2. Trauma Informed Care Training

   This 45 minute training needs to be completed prior to being matched.  The  test includes 3 parts.  An initial pre-test, a PowerPoint presentation and then a post-test.  When you complete the first part, it will prompt you for the PowerPoint presentation, which will then prompt you for the post-test.  Please set aside about 45 minutes to complete the test.  Take the Trauma-Informed Care Training Test.

3. Safe Environment

   This is on the topic of Child Sexual Abuse and is a requirement for anyone working for or with a Catholic Charities Agency.

We will be contacting you soon to schedule your home visit.  Please read Matching Process and Match Meeting to learn what to expect in that first home visit.  Also, you should be receiving an email from Summit Security to complete your background check within a week from the time you interviewed. Please check your spam/junk folder as the email does sometimes end up there.
